  • Koradi and Khaparkheda thermal power plants discharge effluents directly into local streams and rivers, such as the Kolar and Kanhan Rivers. These effluents include mixtures containing fly ash. Additionally, leakages, direct discharges, and water leaching from ash ponds further contaminate water bodies, including groundwater.
